Features of test sieves for air jet sieve machines

Test sieves for air jet sieve machines are significantly flatter compared to conventional laboratory test sieves and have a maximum frame height of 25 to 28 millimeters. This makes them ideal for inlet into air jet sieve machines. For the 200 LS model, NEXOPART offers test sieves with a diameter of 200 millimeters and a height of 25 millimeters. The test sieves for the e200 LS and 200 LS-N machine models are available with a diameter of 203 millimeters and a height of 28 millimeters.

For the fine separation of powders with mesh sizes between 10 and 25 micrometers, micro sieves in the size 76.2 x 25 millimeters are the best choice. The small sieves are usually securely placed on the air jet sieve machine by means of an adapter ring. A suitable cover is also available to create a necessary vacuum in the sieving chamber of the air jet sieve machine.

Efficient air jet sieves with electroformed sheet


The electroformed sheet is an important material for test sieves, such as when used on the air jet sieve machine, and complements the conventional wire mesh. It is made of corrosion-resistant and dimensionally stable nickel instead of stainless steel. The production is carried out by mechanical punching, electroforming and subsequent laser processing. In the range of about 5 μm, the electroformed sheet in form of a micro sieve with a diameter of 76.2 mm on the air jet sieve machine offers a particularly precise and uniform mesh structure without wire overlaps. This enables the reliable separation of the finest and agglomerating powders such as metal powder, limestone or silicon carbide. Their advantage is in the avoidance of sieve blockages, which leads to faster analysis times, as well as in a significantly higher accuracy in particle size determination of very fine powders. Tests show that the sieve mesh made of electroformed sheet is not destroyed even with the highest negative pressure.

The e200 LS air jet sieve machine from NEXOPART facilitates this cleaning with an integrated sieve cleaning function. To do this, place the test sieve upside down into the machine, start the sieving process and brush over the sieve bottom. In this way, all particles are dissolved and the falling material is safely extracted without getting into the environment. This function is particularly important when handling materials that are hazardous to health. A regular visual inspection is also recommended.
