Test sieves for the air jet sieve machine
Test sieves for the air jet sieve machine
Special test sieves for use on the air jet sieve machine
Test sieves are indispensable tools in particle size analysis. In conjunction with air jet sieve machines, they enable fast, precise and reproducible separation of fine and agglomerating powder particles. NEXOPART offers perfectly cut test sieves according to the DIN ISO 3310-1 and ASTM E11 standards with mesh sizes from 20 μm to 4 mm for the air jet sieve machines, especially for the NEXOPART models e200 LS, A200 LS and 200 LS-N. This form of test sieves is therefore a valuable tool for laboratory staff to significantly increase accuracy in quality controls and research work on the finest powders.
Comparison of test sieves for the air jet sieve machine and classic test sieves
Compared to classic test sieves for vibrating sieve shakers, the sieving time with test sieves for the air jet sieve machine is significantly reduced. Analyses that used to take several hours can often be completed in a few minutes. These shortened analysis times enable a higher number of samples per work shift and thus considerable time savings.

Features of test sieves for air jet sieve machines
Test sieves for air jet sieve machines are significantly flatter compared to conventional laboratory test sieves and have a maximum frame height of 25 to 28 millimeters. This makes them ideal for inlet into air jet sieve machines. For the 200 LS model, NEXOPART offers test sieves with a diameter of 200 millimeters and a height of 25 millimeters. The test sieves for the e200 LS and 200 LS-N machine models are available with a diameter of 203 millimeters and a height of 28 millimeters.
For the fine separation of powders with mesh sizes between 10 and 25 micrometers, micro sieves in the size 76.2 x 25 millimeters are the best choice. The small sieves are usually securely placed on the air jet sieve machine by means of an adapter ring. A suitable cover is also available to create a necessary vacuum in the sieving chamber of the air jet sieve machine.
The test sieves for the air jet sieve machine are completely sealed and evenly covered with high-quality wire mesh from the manufacturer HAVER & BOECKER. A sturdy stainless steel frame with serial number and precisely crafted edges guarantees the highest quality "Made in Germany".
Accessories for test sieves of the air jet sieve machine
NEXOPART offers a wide range of accessories for laboratory work with test sieves for the air jet sieve machine. The specially developed sieve cover reliably generates the required vacuum in the sieving chamber of the machine. Different sieve sizes can be used on the air jet sieve machine with the help of an adapter ring. For gentle cleaning of the test sieve, a matching brush is included in the range. In addition, sealing rings are available to ensure an airtight connection between the test sieve and the air jet sieve machine.
Your advantages at NEXOPART:
Efficient air jet sieves with electroformed sheet
The electroformed sheet is an important material for test sieves, such as when used on the air jet sieve machine, and complements the conventional wire mesh. It is made of corrosion-resistant and dimensionally stable nickel instead of stainless steel. The production is carried out by mechanical punching, electroforming and subsequent laser processing. In the range of about 5 μm, the electroformed sheet in form of a micro sieve with a diameter of 76.2 mm on the air jet sieve machine offers a particularly precise and uniform mesh structure without wire overlaps. This enables the reliable separation of the finest and agglomerating powders such as metal powder, limestone or silicon carbide. Their advantage is in the avoidance of sieve blockages, which leads to faster analysis times, as well as in a significantly higher accuracy in particle size determination of very fine powders. Tests show that the sieve mesh made of electroformed sheet is not destroyed even with the highest negative pressure.
Features of electroformed sheet:
- Standards: ISO 3310-3, ASTM E161
- Mesh sizes: 5 μm - 500 μm
- Diameter: 76.2 mm - 200 mm
